Apprehensive about permanent makeup? Zubias has introduced ombré brows, the latest technique for achieving a subtle, natural look that’s long-lasting. For a more defined brow look, we continue to offer microblading. Both services are provided by our fully trained and qualified beauty therapists, so you have complete peace of mind. Experience the revolution in brow grooming with total confidence.
Whilst both styles produce beautiful results, it’s up to you which you prefer. Both use a micro blade but varied techniques produce different results.
MICROBLADING creates feather-like strokes that replicate brow hairs and OMBRE BROWS give a soft-shaded powder look.
If bolder brows are more your thing, we also offer a combination of Microblading & Ombré. Not sure which look is right for you? Don’t stress: your Zubias therapist will explain your options and advise you of the best fit for your face shape and lifestyle.
1. CONSULTATION (allow 30 mins) Your therapist will discuss method, brow shape and different shades, and answer any questions you have. We need a client history form completed to determine if the procedure is right for you.
2. TREATMENT VISIT (allow 45 – 90 mins) You’ll be lying down for most of the procedure, as your therapist draws and creates your desired brow shape. Feel free to bring along your headphone and listen to your favourite music.
3. PERFECTION VISIT (allow 45 mins) Your therapist will observe how your brows have healed and discuss touch-up options with you. The process will be repeated with more strokes added. Pigment shade and brow thickness may also need adjusting.
Pricing includes the 3 visits detailed above:
Microblading OR ombré $800
Microblading AND ombré $850
Future touch-ups, within 12 months $200
Future touch-ups, between 12-24 months $400
Note: $100 deposit required at initial appointment (50% refundable in case of cancellation). This will be redeemed in your treatment visit. 24 hours notice required for cancellation.
A perfection session is necessary after 4-6 weeks to refine your brows. During the touch-up, the procedure will be repeated, encouraging the pigment to embed more permanently into the skin helping the tattoo last longer. Some areas may not have picked up in the first session and will need to be refilled. More strokes can now be added as the previous sessions strokes have settled. For best results, further touch-ups are recommended every 12-18 months.
Avoid excessive sunlight exposure, especially on the area to be treated. Avoid painkillers, alcohol (or anything else that may thin the blood) 24 hours prior. Make sure you’re hydrated and well rested.
During the healing process, darker shades of ink usually appear bolder, whilst lighter shades may also appear brighter. Over the next few days, the top layer will begin to scab and slough off in certain places – this process is called ‘shedding’ and takes 1-2 weeks to complete. Then the pigment will soften into your skin and settle to the desired shade, appearing soft and natural.
